The perfect mini bite snack to satisfy all the sweet tooth like me ๐
-INGREDIENTS –
– For the Donuts
3 tablespoon of very soft butter
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
3 tablespoon of maple syrup
1/3 cup of soy milk (I used Natura original light)
– For the Glaze
1 tablespoon of soft butter
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
1/3 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoon of soy milk
1/3 cup of chocolate pieces to melt (milk or dark)
+ Crushed almonds for the top
1 – Pre-heat your oven at 325
2 – Make the donuts, whisk together the soft butter, brown sugar till you get a soft paste. Add all the other ingredients together and mix well.
3- Take a ziploc plastic bag, add all the donuts dough in it and cut a mini corner to create a home made pipping bag. If you already have a pipping bag, well forget what I just said. ๐ Drop a small amount of dough in each cavity of your donuts pan and bake for 10 minutes.
4- Stove top: in a mini sauce pan, have all the ingredients of the glaze boil/bubble/simmer at MEDIUM HEAT for 2-3 minutes. When that’s done, remove from heat and wait 1-2 minute for the bubbles in the sugar mixture to disappear. Whisk the glaze to make it happen faster.
5- Dip each and every donuts top and garnish with crushed almonds ๐ Enjoy!
These look amazing–I’m a total maple fiend. I’m beginning to think I was born on the wrong side of the border.
