Spring is here! …and even if the weather over Montreal would sometimes make us believe that we’re still in January, some days are sunny and warm enough to remind us that the best of nature has yet to come.
In Quebec, it’s sugar shack season and, like a few years ago, it was time to go stuff our faces in maple deliciousness and heavy comfort food which is exactly what we did a few weeks ago. On the opposite side of the spectrum of my first sugar shack review, the Sucrerie de la Montagne was like a refreshing and comforting trip back in time.
Here’s what my day looked liked in images…

…I LOVED my experience at this sugar shack. From the heavenly fluffy omelette to the guy who played a chainsaw like it a was music instrument (true story, their lunch and dinner entertainment is hilarious) or the classic maple toffee on a stick, everything was awesome. My only complain would have be the price of the items at the general store attached to the domaine. Can you believe they try to sell a can of maple syrup for 30$! #NoThanks

In conclusion, if you’re in Rigaud and you’re searching for a great food and a sugar shack experience, it’s a great place but don’t think about replenishing your maple syrup reserve at the store. Go buy the organic version at the grocery for 9$ or less.

Thank you *^_^*
dear Ariel, most the prices are so high now that the only thing that remains being cheap is the salary. I would explain why but I don’t wanna start talkin’ ’bout politics ’cause that’s no funny stuff and pretty uneasy to say it in few words
Organic version?! (Gah, me confused??)
Isn’t pure maple syrup just a boiled down version of maple sap collected straight from a maple tree forest? (don’t get more organic than that)
(Are there additives, that we just never realized before?)
Very nice!
Love it!
